SHARK & RAY AVAILABILITY PAGE
We are proud to offer the widest assortment of sharks and rays in the business, bar none!!!

IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID 19 US SHUTDOWN, we wish to aid our clients in the US trying to recover from the economic damage done to their businesses. We know all too well the impact that these unAmerican actions have had and will have on the US economy as we struggle to survive ourselves. We are very concerned about the wellbeing of the animals in your care as well as the health of yourselves and your clients. Accordingly, all US orders received by us before May 1st will be given some free bonus animals of our choosing based on the order volume. Just place your order and once it is solid, we will advise you of the bonus animals. We are also looking to expand our offerings by looking into providing frozen seafood for our smaller clients. We understand how hard it is to absorb the hit for feeding all your animals with no income. For the first time, some of you are understanding our plight when we are forced to hold your order beyond the quarantine period and absorb the feeding bill on a huge shipment.

We are now offering fresh water monster fish for large predatory tanks (including interactive freshwater predator displays). We now offer catfish up to 4 feet long (multiple species order ASAP), other monster predator fish from SC as well as invasive freshwater species for our Invasive Species Education Program. They are very exciting for your guests and offer unique interactive opportunities. We are dedicated to the reopening of ALL American venues and providing the public a calm, relaxing and normal aquarium experience ASAP. Normalcy, rest and recreation are critical and foundational to mainaining a stable, healthy human population! Panic, stress and deprivation cause illness and devastate the human immune system. This must end as soon as possible for the health of our nation!

SHARK SUPPLY LLC IS EXPANDING!!! We now offer tanks, consultancy for startup micro-aquariums and micro-zoos as well as cutting edge filtration for the same. We have expanded our inventory with the addition of LARGE predator fresh water fish (monster fish) for interactive programs for zoos and aquaria. We still offer imported fish, inverts, shells, and more from the Pacific year round.  Retailers can get our weekly stocklist.  Retail customers must provide an order for us to bid.  To order Pacifics, email us your species list.
We do provide some local Atlantic species year round.  For live feeders and cleaners, Click Here. For stocked schooling fish from the Atlantic and Caribbean, click here.

Please, do not forget that we offer aquarium design consultation from concept to completion as well as equipment and aquarium leasing.  From residential and office aquarium shark tanks to public aquarium displays, commercial filtration equipment and even some decoration and backgrounds.  Call us for consultation or leasing bids.  Consultation is highly recommended PRIOR to settling on a design or size.  Most of the time we receive requests for sharks for inadequate tanks because the designers hired simply did not know enough about sharks and their peculiar and specific shape and volume needs.  Once the tank is built it is too late to modify it to accomodate obligate swimmer sharks 99% of the time.  Therefore, a consultation at time of concept discussion is critical for your build.

NOTE TO DEALERS & RETAILERS:  LOGISTICS TAKE TIME TO PLAN ESPECIALLY ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS!  These aren't equipment or dry goods.  They are LIVE animals collected to order.
Though we now have Pacific species year round, you must plan your seasonal Atlantic species orders ahead of time and get the sharks when they are available.  Stocked sharks will cost MORE.

Price quotes are only given to qualified buyers after they have submitted the requested information.  Do not bother asking for prices for obligate swimmer sharks without providing the following info.
For Indo-Pacific species or tropical fish and stingrays, you DO NOT have to provide this information.  This screening process is for Atlantic shark buyers.

Public aquaria, pet shops, and wholesalers - Include your name, title, telephone number and the aquarium for which you work and the tank dimensions you are stocking.
Private aquarists, hobbyists and fish keepers - Include your name, address, phone, aquarium dimensions, and attach at least one picture of your aquarium.

Without this information, we will not waste time responding to an email.

ALSO NOTE:

  • ATTENTION BROKERS:  You must identify that you are a broker or buyer and NOT a public aquarium to receive pricing or bids.  Also, if you are procuring an all inclusive bid with freight to a foreign country, there will be a bid fee you must pay before we do your job for you.  You will also be required to provide your public aquarium client for the permits for restricted or protected species if required by the government agencies here.

  • ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:  You must read our page on international shipments and issues. You will need to provide the country of destination for the sharks. You will be responsible for all brokerage fees, customs and customs duties, truck transport to the airport, air freight, etc. You may need a broker in your own country to handle your shipment. We will quote prices FOB ATL or MIA unless you request a bid with a freight estimate. Some bids may require a bid fee payable before a bid is provided (especially if you want a full quote from our broker for freight).

  • ATTENTION AQUARIUM MAINTENANCE BUYERS:  You must identify that you are a buyer and NOT the final customer to receive pricing or bids.  We are tired of being scape goated when an inadequate system kills one of our sharks or you fail to educate your client on the information about purchasing a shark after we have provided it here. See our new policies and your purchase options by clicking here.

  • If you have a large aquarium for display even in a business, you need an acclimation system separate from your displays.  This allows you to hold and acclimate animals safely as well as be able to purchase species when they are available and hold them until the display is completed and cycled.  Putting new arrivals into display is not the industry SOP.

  • Our Atlantic Sharks are "collected to order" not stocked and deposits are required prior to collection.

  • IF YOU HAVE A HARD DEADLINE OR AQUARIUM OPENING DATE TO MEET, YOU MUST TELL US THAT DATE DURING THE DRAFTING OF YOUR SALES AGREEMENT AND PLACING YOUR ORDER! We are NOT responsible for your failure to meet a deadline if ample time is not available to fulfill your order and if you do not tell us of the deadline before placing an order! You may in fact acrue surcharges and added fees to meet a last minute deadline.

  • Orders are filled in the order that payments or deposits are received!  A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on ours.  Last minute acquisitions or emergency collection costs extra.  SO, plan ahead and save money.

  • BE SURE TO USE THE QUALIFICATION INDEX TO SEE IF YOU ARE QUALIFIED TO PURCHASE THE SHARK BEFORE MAKING INQUIRIES OR ORDERING.  SHARKS AVAILABLE ONLY TO PUBLIC AQUARIA ARE JUST THAT!

  • IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A 10 FOOT+ DIAMETER CIRCULAR SYSTEM OR A 6'X20' OR LARGER RECTANGULAR SYSTEM, DO NOT INQUIRE ABOUT ANY OF OUR SHARKS MARKED 6+

  • DO NOT CALL US FOR PRICES until you have not sent a photograph of your system unless you are a public aquarium curator whose aquarium has a web site.  YOU WILL NOT GET A PHONE QUOTE! Don't waste our time.

Atlantic Sharpnose (Rhiziprionodon terraenovae) [Pups to Subadults]
Qualification Code: 6+

Sharpnose require round tanks 12 feet or more in diameter or long runs of 20 feet or more with a minimum turning radius.  Just because they are small, it does not mean they can survive in a small system.  This species is great for kid's display during feeding time as they school and look like they are frenzying when being fed.  Great crowd pleasers!

Mini-Bull Shark, AKA Sand Shark, AKA Finetooth Shark (Carcharhinus isodon) [Pups to Subadults]  They have a bull shark look, but only grows to about 5', better than blacktips as they are less excitable and swim more slowly.  Called Finetooth by Baughman & Springer 1950 though the latin name means "same tooth". One of the benefits is that they do not have the wider longer, bladelike upper teeth of bulls sharks that do more damage if they nip a tank mate. Arecibo Lighthouse Aquarium kept these with a life span of 7 years as their first large shark breed! Order Now 6+ NOTE: The flat tip of the top dorsal fin was a war wound.  This plate was made from a dead specimen collected by a commercial fisherman.  The caudal fin normally ends in the usual Carcharhinid point.  This was an adult though the pups are nearly perfect scale models of an adult. Unlike other sharks, this species pups fat proportional pups rather than the usual skinny awkward pups that have to grow up to look like their adult shape.
LEAST CONCERN
Hammerhead (Great & Scalloped Sphyrna mokarran & S. lewini) [pups]
NOTE TO HOME AQUARISTS: DO NOT CALL US if you do not have a 20-30 foot system for this species!!! Also if you do not have several thousand dollars just for the truck shipment cost, please, do not waste our time.  Few home shark keepers can house a hammerhead.

NOAA and some special interests are trying to close Hammerhead collection for good.  If you don't buy them this season, we CANNOT guarantee that you will be able to get them anymore.  BUY NOW or risk not having them on display in the future.  We thought we had this beaten and now it has resurfaced.

NEAR THREATENED
Despite popular misconception, Smooth dogsharks require round tanks 12 feet or more in diameter or long runs of 20 feet or more with a minimum turning radius.  Just because they are durable in shipping and can breath when motionless, it does not mean they can survive in a small system.  In fact, this species craves large expansive tanks and requires more space to be happy than even a Minibull.  Dogsharks thrive in a 20' round!  The reason that the ones in our picture were in a prism tank with a 15' run and they wanted more space.

Imported Sharks
(PRICES VARY BASED ON SHIPPING COSTS WHICH DEPENDS ON NUMBER OF PIECES PACKED AND TOTAL FISH IN THE ORDER.  So, call or email to get an order estimate shipped to your local airport.)
PLEASE NOTE: Imported stock varies WEEKLY.  You need to get in an order 3-4 weeks before you want the fish because by the time we process an order from the stock list of the week, the stock is sometimes already sold to another client.  We are getting a lot of these regularly but you have to order and get on the list and the fish will ship the first available on the first available Monday after you order.  These are shipped to your closest major airport.  ALL PRICES QUOTED ON IMPORTS ARE FOB IMPORT AIRPORT (Freight paid to that destination with additional freight to whatever airport or location you are).  You will have to provide the airport for the final leg to get final cost or you can pick up your shipment at MIA or ATL with no additional freight charges.  On most we will not charge for the transship on the US leg.  That is, we will not charge for our crew to check the package and re-gas, or  re-bag, your fish.  We only charge the freight.

Rays and Skates

Atlantic Shovelnose Shark
  AKA Atlantic Guitarfish (Rhinobatos lentiginosus)

These are one of the wildest looking rays in the world showing their similarities and relationship to sharks.  Their shark-like body and fins are added to their ray head with a clear nose longer than that of a Clearnose Skate.  These Atlantic breed are very hard to collect and we are lucky to get one in a season.  We can supply the Pacific breed.

ATLANTIC RARE

We also get the Pacific species commonly.

PACIFIC SPECIES
Rhinobatos productus - Small

Atlantic Stingray (Dasyatis sabina)
These are great stingrays with plenty of personality.  They are smaller than southern rays.  They will follow and beg for food if conditioned for touch tanks.  They respond well to personal attention and hand feeding.  They will swarm and vie to be first in line at feeding time.  Given their size, more rays can be fit into a single tank. If you ask for smaller specimens you will get the greater longevity as they will not outgrow your system..

NO GAMES!  WE GUARANTEE LIVE ARRIVAL ON US DOMESTIC SHIPPING OR YOU GET ANOTHER SHARK!  Anything less would be highway robbery or straight up fraud.  Anyone who cannot guarantee live arrival of the fish they ship does not know the business well enough to be in it.
You just pay the reshipping charges.  Check here for the conditions and details for making a claim.

Our collectors maintain proper permits for all fish!
We are not fly-by-night amateurs.  We are professionals with over 25 years experience in sharks.

You should never buy sharks from anyone selling or collecting them illegally.  If you know that you are buying an illegal animal, you may face federal as well as state charges if prosecuted.  You may also be charged under the Lacy Act for interstate violation of STATE game laws just for transporting an illegally obtained fish across state lines or ordering it state to state online.  This is not a joke.  Fish and game laws protecting these animals are being enforced.
Federal and state sentences are handed out to violators REGULARLY!

PRIVATE AQUARISTS: You will be asked to provide a lot of information.  You will also need to email us a photo of you and your system before we will discuss any price not already posted on this site.  We will not sell you a shark that is too large for your system.  If you find this requirement a nuisance, you should try and buy elsewhere.  You cannot understand how many requests for sharks and prices by home aquarists who do not have a shark tank set up.  Those inquiries waste our time and money.  That is why we require the photos.  No photos, no response.  You should also know that there are certain species that we cannot sell you or that are too pricey for you.  For now, please, contact us by email.  Provide your phone number and we can call you back.  We will not be posting our phone number yet as we do not wish to be overwhelmed with calls.  If you have an adequate system and you really want a shark, you will comply with our requests and you will probably be able to own the shark of your dreams.
